At Glory Academy, our junior high includes the seventh and eighth grades. During these years the students are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility and work towards greater independence in their homework and assignments. The students will study their core subjects of pre-algebra, grammar, spelling, literature, vocabulary, science, history, Bible, and physical education. To prepare students for the structure of our high school courses, one or two of their classes will be taught using A Beka Academy video courses.
High school includes grades nine through twelve and is organized on a semester schedule with classes beginning in September and ending in May. The school day is broken into seven class periods. This includes a time for lunch and study hall. Classes are taught through an accredited program called A Beka Academy which streams courses at Pensacola Christian Academy. This program focuses on college preparation and character building using high-quality video instruction taught by master teachers and professors from Pensacola Christian Academy and Pensacola Christian College. Teachers at Glory Academy monitor the progress of each student, overseeing their classwork and being a resource for any questions. The teachers administer all quizzes and tests and give helpful feedback on the student’s daily work. The students at Glory Academy receive the highest quality education in each subject area, preparing them for the rigor of post-secondary school.
